Day Nurseries
Children really benefit from formal childcare from the age of 9-10 months, according to the most comprehensive study of its kind, surveying 30,000 parents from the start of the millennium - published by the DCSF in August 2008. ( EPPE 3-11 Project )
In a good nursery environment with caring staff, your child would have great fun learning about the world, from a wide variety of learning-through-play activities throughout the day and from the enjoyable company of other children and friendly staff.
Rooms in a good nursery are designed for each age group, so that all the resources, activities, food, and rest can be geared to your child's developmental needs and interests at that age.An excellent foundation for starting school can be provided, especially if an early years teacher plans and leads the learning-through-play activities.
Nurseries can be relied upon to be available every day, which is not always possible with other childcare arrangements.
Early mornings, half days, short days and full days are all available to suit your needs.
