Babies

Staff in our cosy 6-place baby room are selected for their loving, caring personalities. A member of staff will be assigned as your key worker caring for your baby and form a close partnership with you, telling you all about your baby's day with us, and noting it in a daily diary for you. The team are well-trained in baby care, and make sure that your baby has the close personal attention and fun activities throughout the day that really help early development, looking after a maximum of 2-3 babies each. Peaceful, closely supervised sleep is provided in cots or on special floor cushions.

Rooms and carpets are kept clean and fresh, and toys and furniture kept hygienic and replaced regularly.

Parents are welcome to visit at any time of day, and can view their children in the room without being seen, to be sure they are settling in.

Toddlers

Tiggys

We work with parents to help your child with toilet training, develop early communication and social skills, independence and early learning. Safety and good hygiene is paramount throughout the nursery.

A 'key person' is designated for your child, to provide a constant contact for both of you. Observations and assessments of your child's development are made frequently, from which activities are planned to keep you child's interest and help move on to the next stage, following the Department of Education's Early Years Foundation Stage guidance.

Parents are welcome to visit at any time of day, and can view their children in the room without being seen, to be sure they are settling in.

Healthy food is freshly prepared on the premises by our Chef, with a varied menu that has won the highest Platinum level of Healthy Eating Platinum Awards in 2008, at all of our nurseries.

Pre-School

Led by our B.Ed-qualified teacher, our activities curriculum is based on the DFES Foundation Stage to link directly to Schools' curriculum, but unlike school nursery classes, we have a very high 1:8 staff ratio, so that we can give a lot of personal attention to every child.

Our wide range of enjoyable, educational activities is ideal for engaging every children's interest and learning, in preparation for a confident and successful start at school. Our activity curriculum has been highly praised in Ofsted inspections - your child will follow an individual learning programme which fully meets all six areas of learning and development set out by the Department for Education in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The rooms are fun and attractive, and all facilities and furniture are specially designed for children.

Outings are also made regularly to learn about the wider environment, we celebrate festivals and we have many seasonal projects, like growing vegetables in our gardens and hatching butterflies.

In the last year we have had termly parents' evenings, and we liaise with local schools to help prepare for a smooth transition to school.

N1Playground1Active Play

Our ½ acre of countryside with lawns, bike-riding areas, climbing frames, sandpit and many winding paths, shrubs and trees stretch muscles and imagination in the fresh air!

There are separate areas for each age group, to avoid tumbles with faster moving children, safely designed and securely enclosed.

Soft Play Room

Weather does not stop play! Because our British weather is so changeable, we provide a large indoor 'soft play' room for each age group to take turns running, jumping and tumbling safely ... while staying warm and dry.
